We teamed up with our good buddies Scott and Mig from Fishing and Adventure to put together the ‘Hirepool Big Little Fishing Adventure’. We at Hirepool ran a competition asking young fishing fanatics to show and tell us why they wanted to go out fishing with Scott & Mig.
Hundreds of kids entered and were jumping at the opportunity to fish off a boat for the first time. The kicker was, that Scott and Mig would be on the fishing charter leading by example!
So, on a gusty September morning in Whangaparoa, four little fishermen from across the North Island turned up covered in Fishing & Adventure merch ready to fish.

The kids were up early to make it in time before the charter launched into the Hauraki Gulf. All four were baiting their own hooks, reeling in some big ones and having a laugh with or at Scott & Mig’s antics. They left with smiles on their faces and a chilly bin full of kaimoana for their dinner.
Scott from Fishing and Adventure said - "Kids are a huge part of our fanbase and its super rewarding for us to be able to give back to the Tamariki with positive messaging and inspire them to get out on the water.”
